DeskPins es una pequeña utilidad para Windows que agregará un ícono de pin en la barra superior de nuestras ventanas, junto a los botones de cerrar, maximizar y minimizar. Al ser pulsado, el ícono de pin se asegurará de mantener dicha ventana siempre al tope de todas.
Eso que los usuarios de Linux ya disfrutan desde hace mucho tiempo es una característica francamente útil para cuando sabemos que vamos a realizar una tarea y queremos que la ventana quede permanentemente sobre todas las demás. Por ejemplo para ver un vídeo, o si de pronto estamos utilizando la calculadora de Windows.
La posibilidad de mantener a tope también es interesante porque no estorba para nada, ni se interpone con la minimización de ventanas. Es decir que si luego queremos minimizar alguna ventana que tenemos con el ícono de DeskPins lo podremos hacer sin inconvenientes, y cuando la restauremos volverá a estar siempre por sobre todas las demás.
Para hacer las cosas más fáciles, además, podremos utilizar la característica de Autopin, que nos permitirá marcar algunas aplicaciones para que al ser iniciadas estén automáticamente al tope del escritorio, y así ya no tendremos que estar haciéndolo cada vez que las utilicemos. DeskPins es una utilidad freeware muy pequeña (su descarga ocupa apenas 96 KB y luego ocupa apenas 4 MB de RAM en ejecución), y es compatible con Windows Vista, XP, 2003, 2000 y 98.
